EFT Procedure Script

Tune into a feeling (emotion, pain, or limiting belief) you want to release. Describe it as precisely and be as specific as you can. Tap repeatedly on each point and replace the problem( ________) with your word(s).

1. Tap only point 1 (hand) and say aloud:

  • “Even though I have this ( ________)”
  • “I deeply and completely love and accept myself”
  • “Even though I have this ( ________)”
  • “I deeply and completely love and accept myself”
  • “Even though I have this ( ________), that’s ok, I’m ok”

2. Tap the sequence through points 2-9 and say aloud:

  • “This ________, this ________, this ________, this ________, this ________, this ________, this ________, this ________
  • Repeat once

3. Take a deep breath and check in with how you feel. It may get worse or better. Do not stop tapping if you feel overwhelmed by emotion.

4. Tap only point 1 (hand) and say aloud:

  • “Even though I still have this ( ________)”
  • “I deeply and completely love and accept myself”
  • “Even though it’s still there, that's OK, I accept myself anyway”
  • “Even though I still have this ( ________), I choose to love and accept myself for who I am”

5. Tap the sequence through points 2-9 and say aloud:

  • “This remaining problem, remaining problem, remaining problem, remaining problem, remaining problem, remaining problem, remaining problem, remaining problem
  • Repeat once

6. Take a deep breath and tune in to how you feel. Continue and use different problem words if it works better.

You can keep working on this as much as you need. It’s not about getting it accurate.

You may feel some impact quickly, but it is much more likely to work subtly over time with persistence.
